What is direct experience?
Direct experience is the immediate encounter with what is
- It’s the raw sensation of seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, tasting and feeling before adding labels or stories.
- It’s the presence of life as it unfolds in real-time, untouched by thought or analysis.
Direct experience is unfiltered and direct-to-awareness
- It doesn’t need an interpreter—no concepts or mental commentary are required.
- It’s the way reality appears to you when there’s no gap between the observer and the observed.
Direct experience is the simplest form of knowing
- It’s the moment of contact with “what is here, now” without any mental distance.
- It’s the ground-level truth of each moment, the starting point before any mental construction.
